In the early 70s there were no quality restaurants in Mombasa, Kenyan born Chris Seex who was managing a resort Hotel at the time had a dream to create Africa’s finest seafood restaurant. He designed the Mombasa Tamarind. With high arches and a crenellated roof, the elegant white building is a throwback to a bygone Arab era with the perfect setting.

Tamarind Mombasa can cater for large groups, corporate dinners and cocktail parties. We will tailor a menu to suit your tastes. Attached to the restaurant is the private dining room which can seat up to 25 guests for meetings, dinner and company celebrations.
